After you have opened the
Vinyl form (accessed from the primarybid_worksheet form), you must
click the
Add New Room
button, otherwise the tab room page will not appear until you do.
After you have added the new room you'll need to click on the
Room Type
button, this will allow
you to select the room type you intend to figure an estimate on, and
will rename the room tab page to the room type you've selected. You
can add up to 12 rooms total, 6 rooms per form. You will have to
click on the box called Rooms 7-12 to access the 7th room.
After you've added the new
room type, you'll now need to add the floor size (length x width)
this will determine the floor size total square feet.
Vinyl Tiles
You will now need to select
you're Vinyl Tile Material type and the amount of square feet each
tile size covers this amount is determined by the divider #, the
divider # gets divided by the total square ft amount to calculate
the amount of tiles you'll need, and then multiples it by the amount
each one costs, to give you the cost to tile this room.
Vinyl Planks
Select your Vinyl Planks
Material type and the amount of square feet per box it covers. Floor
Estimator will divide the rooms total sq. ft. by the amount of sq.
ft. the box covers and display the amount of box's needed to
complete the job. This amount will get multiplied by the cost per
box for this rooms total costs.
Vinyl Rolls
Select your Vinyl Roll
Material type which will have a per Sq. Ft. Price. Floor Estimator
will multiply the rooms total sq. ft. by the per sq. ft. price to
display this rooms total cost for applying vinyl.
Vinyl Wall
base
You can also choose you're
Wall Base size/type, this amount will be determined from the rooms
linear ft amount. There is a box labeled
+/-
linear ft, that will
allow you to add or subtract from the already calculated linear ft.
amount. The border size/type has a
divider number
that you will also need to set the amount to, this divider number
gets divided by the total linear ft amount, and calculates the
amount you'll need, and then multiples it by the amount each one
costs, to give you the costs for the wallbase for this room.
Backing Boards
There's also a group box for
calculating backing boards 3ft x 5ft panels, It divides the rooms
total sq ft by the 15 to determine the amount of backing sheets
needed and the costs.
There is also a labor section
for estimating labor for this room, simply choose the amount of
hours and the hourly rate, or you can simply enter in you're own
costs into the box labeled
Enter Costs.

Vinyl Flooring -- Material Cost List
Vinyl Flooring
Material Costs List shows the price per selected material/item and
the price of that material
item, and the amount needed for that job/estimate, it shows all
chosen materials and material costs for vinyling these rooms. Used
when ordering materials.
Note: This next two screen shots only shows Rooms 1-2, in Floor Estimator it
will show all the rooms you have included in the vinyl section of
the estimate.

Vinyl Flooring Labor Per Sq. Ft.
-- (Piece Work)
The Vinyl Labor Per Sq. Ft (Piece Work) form totals all rooms
(1-12) total sq. ft.
Labor: Per Sq.
Foot / Piece Work:
Allows the estimator to choose the labor output amount per sq
ft./per hour and divides it into the different Room types total sq.
ft. Which gives the amount of hours it'll take to floor this job. It
totals the different rooms areas into a total sq. ft. and then
divides this by the amount of labor output you select, giving you
the amount of hours it'll take to apply this floor type to these
rooms and then multiplies it by the hourly rate you select.
Note: Hourly labor is also shown on
this form, it is a copy of each rooms labor section, it is only
viewable, you can not change it on this labor form.

Shows all costs and details associated with the
Vinyl Flooring section of the Estimate.

Note: To change the
Material Name,
Price and Divider
you'll need to go to the Material Price Change and Update Menu, this
is located on the opening form in Floor Estimator.
Note: All this will be very self
explanatory as you begin to use Floor Estimator.
