Screen Shots Below)
Adding A Room
After you have opened the tile
form (accessed from the primarybid_worksheet form), you must click
New Room button,
otherwise the tab room page will not appear until you do. After you
have added the new room you'll need to click on the
button, this will allow
you to select the room type you intend to figure an estimate on, and
will rename the room tab page to the room type you've selected. You
can add up to 12 rooms total, 6 rooms per form. You will have to
click on the box called Rooms 7-12 to access the 7th room.
After you've added the new
room type, you'll now need to add the floor size (length x width)
this will determine the floor size total square feet. You will now
need to select you're
type and the amount of
square feet each tile size covers this amount is determined by the
divider #, the divider # gets divided by the total square ft amount,
and calculates the amount you'll need, and then multiples it by the
amount each one costs, to give you the cost for this room.
You can also choose you're
border size/type, this amount will be determined from the rooms
linear ft amount. There is a box labeled
linear ft, that will
allow you to add or subtract from the already calculated linear ft.
amount. The border size/type has a
that you will also need to set the amount to, this divider number
gets divided by the total linear ft amount, and calculates the
amount you'll need, and then multiples it by the amount each one
costs, to give you the costs for this room.
There's also a group box for
calculating backing boards 3ft x 5ft panels, It divides the rooms
total sq ft by 15 to determine the amount of backing sheets needed
and the costs.
There is also a labor section
for estimating labor for this room, simply choose the amount of
hours and the hourly rate, or you can simply enter in you're own
costs into the box labeled

The Tile Labor Per Sq. Ft (Piece Work) form totals all rooms
(1-12) total sq. ft.
Labor: Per Sq.
Foot / Piece Work:
Allows the estimator to choose the labor output amount per sq
ft./per hour and divides it into the different Room types total sq.
ft. Which gives the amount of hours it'll take to floor this job. It
totals the different rooms areas into a total sq. ft. and then
divides this by the amount of labor output you select, giving you
the amount of hours it'll take to apply this floor type to these
rooms and then multiplies it by the hourly rate you select.
Note: Rooms1-6 Hourly labor is also
shown on this form, it is a copy of each rooms labor section, it is
